Having the power to independently make change and own what you do, means, that you have to independently make change and own what you do. There is no hiding, there is no “tell me what to do”, there is a problem, you own solving it, and your solution should solve the problem. Of course confirming ideas and looking for feedback from your peers is part of solving the problem, but if you are asking them what to do, or delegate leadership of solving the problem to them, then you have a bigger problem.
