Coaching Approach

This page is for the accountability group I coach within the EO Toronto Accelerator program. The materials, frameworks, and tools here are available to anyone, but they are designed around the curriculum I use with my group.

The foundation is the Owner's Outcome — what you personally want the business to deliver to you, by when, measured by what. Every framework, every meeting, and every commitment connects back to this. If it does not move you closer to your Owner's Outcome, it is not the priority.

The operating system is Metronomics — a structured approach to strategy, execution, cash, and team that gives founders the tools to build a business that runs without them.

Preparation

Step 1: Owner's Outcome

Before anything else, complete your Owner's Outcome. This defines what you personally want the business to deliver to you, by when, measured by what. The EOA Prep Prompt and every framework in the program connect back to this. Do this once, then review it quarterly.

First read the article, then run the prompt.

Work through the prompt with your AI to produce your Owner's Outcome document. 45 minutes.

Step 2: EOA Prep Prompt

Before every meeting, run the EOA Prep Prompt. It walks you through your business update, pushes you to identify the real issue you need help with, and produces a document to email to your coach. The prompt uses your Owner's Outcome as the lens for every question.

Experience Sharing

In this group, we share from experience rather than give advice. When someone presents a challenge, the group responds by recalling a time when they faced something similar and sharing what they did. No prescriptions. No "you should." Just honest stories about what happened.

This approach builds trust faster than advice ever could. It also surfaces insights that no one person could have reached alone. The two videos below, produced by the EO Forum Team, demonstrate how experience sharing works in practice. Take a few minutes to watch them.
